Russian attack in Koupianske: six people killed, bodies removed from river, cars

On Tuesday, six people were killed when a Russian-controlled aerial bomb hit the town of Kupiansko in the Kharkiv region.

Serhijus Bolvinov, representative of the Main Council of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, reported this on Facebook, to which Ukrinform refers.

“According to information received so far, six civilians were killed in Koupianske. Two women and four men. We managed to count a large number of victims at the moment,” the report reads.

According to the officer, the enemy fired on a car of volunteers evacuating civilians.

“We found the dead in the nearby river and in destroyed cars. The Russians opened fire at noon, around 1 p.m. Our investigators, criminologists and explosives specialists are working on site and the examination continues,” said A .Bolvinov.

He does not exclude that the number of victims could increase.

As already reported, on September 19 a Russian-controlled aerial bomb hit Kupiansk. Until 5 p.m. three deaths were reported. Oleh Sinehubov, head of the military administration of the Kharkiv region, did not exclude that there could be other victims, but the work of the rescue services at the site of the explosion is hampered by the shots enemy artillery.
