The water in Kherson is currently drinkable, although the Russians blew up the Kachovka hydroelectric power plant, causing water supply problems in many areas.
This was reported by the press service of the military administration of the Kherson region on Friday, citing Interfax-Ukraine.
“Water is supplied from artesian wells located at a depth of 60-100 meters. And they have nothing to do with water from the Dnieper. Before being supplied to the network, the water is specially treated with sodium hypochlorite. The reagent destroys dangerous pathogens, bacteria and fungi. The city’s water supply has the necessary supply of disinfectants,” the administration’s announcement on the channel reads. Telegram.
It should be noted that the specialists of the chemistry and bacteriology laboratory perform daily water quality tests and confirm its suitability for consumption.
