There was talk of a “crazy” plan by the Russian Federation to damage the hydroelectric power station: the situation has reversed

The demolition of the Kachovka hydroelectric power station is another instrument of Russia’s war in Ukraine and was planned. The occupants were waiting for the “best” moment to carry out the disaster.

The fact that the demolition of the Kachovka dam is a planned Russian operation was noted by the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, quoted by “Unian”.

On Tuesday June 6, Russian occupiers blew up the Kachovska hydroelectric power station on the orders of the office of dictator Vladimir Putin.

The enemy deliberately accumulated water, raised its level to the maximum in order to cause maximum damage after the explosion, Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, told Radio Liberty.

“… 2:50 a.m. the dam was destroyed by Russian terrorists with the same explosive that, in our opinion, was placed in advance – in September-October last year. Most likely, all this happened yesterday at the request of Moscow…”, the official noted.

According to him, the demolition of the dam is a planned operation of the enemy.

“… the fact that this happened yesterday is another proof that this is the intention of the Russian military, and the order for this terrorist act was given directly by the Kremlin, by Putin’s office, no such instructions are given at other levels …”, – underlined O. Danilov.

The same was reported by “RBK-Ukraine” based on the statement of Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar during the telethon.

“Indeed, the moment (to blow up the Kachovska hydroelectric power station – editor’s note) was not chosen by chance. On the one hand, they have been preparing for it for a long time. It wasn’t a spontaneous decision. On the other hand, they waited for the moment they thought was “the most appropriate,” Maliar said.

She noted that the demolition of the hydroelectric plant is nothing more than a part of the war of the Russian Federation.

“That is to say, anyway, you have to see it in a military sense. Because it’s one of the tools of war. That’s how uncivilized they see it added the Deputy Defense Minister.

Commenting on the motives of the occupiers, H. Maliar hinted that the Russians most likely wanted to prevent the Ukrainian Armed Forces from doing what they planned to do.

“But for now, we see that the situation has reversed.” And the Russians have actually now done more damage to their armed forces, to their fortified territories, to their military positions. Basically, the territory that is now under the control of the aggressor suffers more”, asserted the representative of the Ministry of Defense.

In the early morning of June 6, the Russians blew up the Kachovska Dam. It cannot be restored as it was. As a result of the explosion of the hydroelectric power station in southern Ukraine, a number of settlements were flooded, people and animals were evacuated, three people are already missing.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the leadership of the Russian Federation committed such a terrible crime because they panicked and thereby wanted to complicate the actions of our state defenders.
