The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, met the Ukrainian Defense Minister, Oleksiy Reznikov. The meeting took place in Singapore, where they both took part in a security forum, reports Ukrinform.
“Wherever we meet in the world, the bond between the EU and Ukraine is unbreakable. Together with Oleksiis Reznikov and our EU colleagues, we underlined the importance of global solidarity and support for the Ukraine, because common principles are under threat,” Borrell wrote on Twitter.
The European diplomat also met with Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu, with whom he discussed key strategic issues, including Russia’s war against Ukraine, the situation in the South China Sea and China-Taiwan relations.
The Shangri-La Dialogue Security Forum is taking place in Singapore from June 2-4. Its main subject is Russia’s war against Ukraine. The event brings together US and EU delegations, diplomats, military representatives, arms manufacturers and security experts.
