There are still five children in Avdijivka and Bachmut – their parents do not allow them to evacuate

128 children were forcibly evacuated from settlements in the Donetsk region where hostilities are taking place. They still had eight children, four of them in Bachmut, one in Avdijivka.

As Ukrinform reported on Friday, Oleksandr Vdovenka, the representative of the military administration of the Donetsk region, informed about this at a press conference.

“128 children, together with their parents or legal representatives, were forcibly evacuated from settlements where active hostilities are taking place. Eight children remained in the settlements where hostilities are taking place: four – in Bashmut, one – in Avdijivka (its parents are hiding him), two – in Krasnohorivka, one – in the Keramik settlement (his parents categorically do not agree to his being evacuated), ”the official noted.

According to him, these data date from May 23, and the compulsory evacuation of children with parents, surrogates or other legal representatives began on April 7, 2023. This forced evacuation included 21 settlements.

O. Vdovenka urged all residents to leave for safer regions of Ukraine. “Unfortunately, shootings of occupiers are becoming more frequent. There are reports of civilian casualties and injuries almost daily, so don’t risk your life or the lives of your children. Remember: l Evacuation saves lives,” he said.

As noted, Russian forces are constantly bombarding the Donetsk region, the enemy killing and injuring civilians and destroying infrastructure every day.
