Russia continues to bomb Ukrainian cities

Russia continues to bombard Ukrainian cities with artillery systems, aircraft and mortars, and Ukrainian civilians have been injured, reports Ukrinform.

In one of the villages of the Kherson region, a tractor ran over a mine left by the Russians, and its 48-year-old driver suffered multiple injuries from shrapnel in the explosion. He was treated but refused to be hospitalized.

The Russians have shelled settlements in the Kharkiv region 21 times in the past day. As a result, one Ukrainian resident was killed and another was injured. Kharkiv, Kupiansk and Chuhuiv were bombarded with artillery and mortars, and with the help of aircraft.

Nine other civilians were injured when Russian aircraft and artillery shelled the Zaporizhia area. One of them was seriously injured during an airstrike against the village of Mala Tokmashka. During the day, the Russians carried out a total of 92 strikes against 12 settlements in the Zaporizhia region.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, the Russians fired rockets into Sloviansk, where they destroyed one house and damaged 9 others. The Russians bombarded the city of Vuhledar once with a warplane and bombarded it 21 times with artillery. Two houses were damaged in Bohojavlenka, Prechystivka was shelled four times and Novukrainka three times.

Two people were killed in Chasiv Yar and one was injured in Torecki during Russian shelling. The Russians damaged 13 houses in Nykyforivka near Soledar.

Two more people were killed in the Kherson region when the Russians hit Beryslav. A man and a woman were killed when an artillery shell hit their own home. Another resident of Kherson was injured when the Russians shelled Kindijk.

Additionally, on Saturday night, Russia launched 18 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 suicide bomber drones in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv. All were shot down by Ukrainian forces, but four apartment buildings in the Dniprovsk district were damaged by falling drone shrapnel. Firefighters extinguished the roof of a residential building that caught fire. No one was injured in the drone attack.
