After the Russian occupation army left the Sumy region, remnants of chemical weapons, sarin and other substances were reportedly found in the village of Bilka. This was stated by the mayor of Trostyanets, Yuri Bova, in a Ukrainian radio program, states Ukrinform Agency. However, the reports have not been confirmed by the military or security forces.

“In the village of Bilka we found remnants of chemical weapons, sarin and other substances. In ampoules. The Ukrainian Security Service is currently working on it. It is possible that the occupants wanted to use this chemical in Kyiv, Poltava or other cities,” Mayor Trostjance said.

Bova also said that the occupants of Trostjanec mined cemeteries, forest plantations, parks and administrative buildings. According to the mayor, two groups, one from the State Emergency Service and the other from the army, are currently working on demining in Trostjanec.
