Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida signed a joint statement on the countries’ special global partnership in Kyiv on Tuesday.
The signing ceremony took place before the start of the leaders’ press conference, reports the correspondent of “Ukrinform”.
“This document reflects the values we stand for together and the aspirations we have yet to achieve. In more than 30 years, our meaningful relationships have reached a very high level, but this is only the basis of what we can achieve the future,” said V. Zelenskis.
The President expressed his belief that the partnership between Ukraine and Japan strengthens global security and brings closer the time when it will finally be possible to restore peace and ensure stability for the lives of Ukrainians and all peoples of the world.
As already reported, Japanese Prime Minister F. Kishida unexpectedly arrived in Ukraine on Tuesday with a visit.
