Gerasimov complains: Russia hasn’t experienced this yet
Russian Chief of Staff General Valery Gerasimov complained about the intensity of the fighting in Ukraine. He admitted that the system in Russia was not prepared for the realities of sending mobilized soldiers to the front.
A senior official in the aggressor country said it is difficult for Russian soldiers to carry out a “special operation” because they have to fight “the whole collective West”. The words of V. Gerasimov are quoted by the Russian media.
“Currently, a “special military operation” is being carried out in Ukraine under the leadership of the General Staff. Modern Russia has not experienced military actions of this level and intensity. The entire collective West is now against our country and its armed forces,” V. Gerasimov tried to justify himself.
He assured that to stabilize the situation, “protect new territories” and carry out offensive actions, Russia must implement “partial” mobilization plans. He pointed out that such things had not happened since World War II.
According to him, the General Staff, together with Russian entities, invited 300,000 soldiers to the army. mobilized.
“It should be mentioned that the system of preparation for mobilization in our country was not fully adapted to the new modern economic relations. Therefore, everything had to be sorted out as we went along. However, after the officers of the state- major took consistent and professional measures and in cooperation with the authorities of the RF entities, 300,000 were called up for military service citizens who were in reserve, ”said V. Gerasimovs.
