Russia continues its offensive in eastern Ukraine. The armed forces continued Thursday to carry out air and ground attacks against a series of towns and villages.
Near the town of Lysychansk, Russia moved more units in an attempt to capture the village of Bilohorivka, Luhansk Oblast Governor Serhiy Hayday said. A commander from another colony, which is the subject of heavy fighting, spoke of the increase in Russian airstrikes. Due to the wave of airstrikes in Ukraine, the electricity supply was again interrupted.
There is a “continuous attack”, S. Haidajus told Ukrainian television, referring to the Russian attacks. “They are moving more and more resources to the Bilohorivka area and trying to capture the village,” he said.
Nine civilians were killed in the attacks on the town of Bakhmut and other parts of the Donetsk region that border Lugansk, the regional governor said. Ukrainian security forces responded with fire from rocket launchers, witnesses told Reuters.
Battles are taking place all along the so-called demarcation line in Donetsk. The front town of Avdijivka was shelled by Russian tanks in the morning, a representative of the Donetsk region administration said.
There is no way to independently verify Warzone messages.
