The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, this Monday recommended the Republican Party in the legislative elections that will be held on Tuesday in the United States.
“Shared power prevents the worst excesses of both parties, so I recommend voting for a Republican Congress because the presidency is democratic,” Musk told “independent voters” on Twitter.
The businessman, now the owner of the social network, emphasized that convinced Democrats and Republicans do not vote for the other side, so “independent voters are the ones who really decide who is in charge.”
In the past, Musk has maintained that he does not fully identify with either party and that he generally supports the more moderate factions of each, but in recent months he has made it clear that he now leans toward Republican views.
In June of last year, the billionaire already announced that he was going to vote for the Republican Party this November and was very critical of the Biden administration.
His takeover of Twitter has, in fact, been widely celebrated in conservative circles, including by former President Donald Trump and other figures in the Republican Party.
