Avalanche of AI-generated porn forces Amazon to pull back on nudity on Twitch

This is the day. That’s how long it took Amazon to backtrack on allowing nudity on Twitch, a live streaming platform that is used by about 2.5 million people every day. The reason was an avalanche of broadcasters who took advantage of the new rules to distribute AI-generated erotic content and flooded the platform with these types of channels.

“The digital depiction of nudity presents a unique challenge: AI can be used to create realistic images, and it can be difficult to tell the difference between digital art and photography,” said Dan Clancy, CEO of Twitch. “That’s why, starting today, we’re rolling back the artistic nudity changes. Going forward, performances of real or fictional nudity will not be allowed on Twitch, regardless of medium,” he added.
