Microsoft has hired Sam Altman, former head of ChatGPT developers

Sam Altman spent just two days without a job. After announcing the firing of OpenAI’s CEO on Friday afternoon, the CEO has been reassigned by Microsoft to lead its advanced artificial intelligence research group. Altman will be joined by Greg Brockman, the former president of OpenAI, as well as other senior executives who resigned from their positions at the company that develops ChatGPT after learning of their leader’s departure.

This was announced by the president of Microsoft, Satya Nadella. “We’re excited to share the news that Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, along with their colleagues, will join Microsoft to lead a new group of advanced artificial intelligence researchers. We hope to act quickly to provide them with the resources they need to succeed,” he wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).
