Palace striker Zaha has been ruled out of the game against Southampton with an injury.

CRYSTAL Palace mascot Wilfried Zaha will most likely not be attending his visit to the Saints later this month due to an injury.

The 30-year-old, who recently recovered from a hamstring injury, tripped during Roy Hodgson’s second leg at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Zaha tweeted over the weekend, “Upset is an understatement of how my game ended last night but it’s God’s plan so I’ll be right back!”

The Sun has released the results of a scan of the star, whose contract ended in the summer and is likely to miss three weeks.

This means Zaha will miss games against Leeds United, Saints and Everton before looking to play West Ham again at the end of the month.

Visit the Palace of St. Mary on Saturday, April 15 (15:00). The Saints are aiming to close the four-point gap between themselves and safety to ensure survival in the Premier League.

Zaha has a longstanding competitive rivalry with the Saints and most notably with Captain James Ward-Prowse.

The Ivory Coast international scored the winning goal in Palace’s 2–1 victory over Saint Mary’s in April 2022.
