SAINTS B are about to receive a play-off guarantee in their Premier League 2 Second Division campaign.
The academy team only needs one point in their two remaining games to have a chance of promotion to the first division this season.
They are currently second in the league and a win next game all but guarantees a home game in the four-team playoffs expected to take place in May.
The Saints will host Stoke City at the Snows Stadium in their penultimate game on Friday, April 17 at 7:00 pm. They visit Norwich City the following weekend to complete the campaign.

That has changed for Saints B this season as some of their starting XIs have been loaned out to the Football League and the National League.
Meanwhile, coaches Dave Horsman and Louis Carey are now working with first team manager Reuben Selles following the resignation of Nathan Jones and his coaching staff.
Lee Skyrme leads in matchdays for Saints B, who were eliminated by Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League Cup quarter-finals last month.
A late attack for the title is unlikely as Leeds United are currently top of the Premier League Division Two, two points clear of the Saints by a game margin.
Ticket information for next week’s big game against Stoke City at Totton Stadium will be released by the club in due course.
The Daily Echo recently spoke to B-Team stars Lewis Payne and Ollie Wright, who are likely to play next Friday’s game.
