Hello and welcome to the Saints morning briefing for the latest on Ruben Selles and more.

Hope you have a good start to the week. At least Monday is over, which is positive for all of us.

We chatted with Theo Walcott this weekend and he’s always a pleasure to talk to. The veteran who scored his first Premier League goal in almost two years wants to set a good example for his teammates.

James Ward-Prowse was named in Garth Crookes’ Team of the Week and it was interesting to read what the BBC Sport expert had to say about the skipper.

Armel Bella-Kotchap and Jan Bednarek both left us with injuries, but it doesn’t look like the latter were too serious. He is currently in the Poland national team this week.

Finally, the date and venue for the Saints U18 FA Youth Cup semi-final against West Ham have been set. Which young Saints players will they take on when they beat the Hammers at the London stadium in a few weeks?

That’s all we need for now, but over the course of the week we’ll try to keep you entertained while the Premier League press is on hiatus.
