INSPIRING kickboxer became European champion.
Ringwood resident Liz Ferioli-Brown, 47, has won the 2022 Wako European Kickboxing Champion title at a fierce championship in Turkey.
The mother of six won for Team GB in light contact in the Masters category for women aged 35 to 55. Liz also took silver in points battles.
The martial artist who founded Ringwood Kickboxing in 2019 has been teaching the sport to all ages since the age of five.
Liz, who has 25 years of experience, said: “I am so happy with my European gold and silver medals.
“It was not an easy journey through competitions, I left every fight knowing that I was fighting – the girls were strong and hit hard.
“I have been incredibly fortunate to have some amazing coaches and I would like to thank them for believing in me and for their guidance and support that has brought me to this point.
“I would also like to thank the UK team for the great friendship and incredible kindness and support. I like to feel like a European champion!”
Ringwood kickboxing coach Sara Silens added: “The entire club community would like to say how proud we are of Liz. “She is an inspiration to all of us and her performances are just brilliant.
“We would also like to thank her for her love, support, dedication, commitment and friendship she brings to our children and all of us at the club. She is successful.”
Liz has been British Champion in her category since 2016, with the exception of 2019 when she took a leave of absence to conceive. Teaches at ringwoodkickboxing.co.uk.
