The PP is calling for the “immediate repeal” of the energy saving order in a full meeting of government and communities.

The People’s Party this Monday called for the “immediate repeal” of the royal order for energy-saving measures, which will come into effect next Wednesday at 00:00. The Undersecretary of the People’s Organization, Miguel Telado, requested this measure before the end of the Energy, Industry and Commerce Sectoral Conference, where the government explained to the autonomous communities the initiatives of these regulations.

While the meeting was still underway, Telado spoke of an “energy improvisation plan” and also called for an “urgent” call to the conference of presidents next week to address all energy measures. A few minutes later, the third vice-president and transitional environmental minister Teresa Ribera appeared, who admitted that during the meeting there were communities governed by the PP, which, like the state leadership, also demanded the repeal of the decree. According to the vice president, this will not happen.

PP’s “Number Three” labeled the text, which includes temperature restrictions for air conditioning or heating, as “one-sided” and “full of coincidence.” “This is a royal decree of the government, adopted behind the backs of citizens and public administrations, tailored to Pedro Sánchez,” he denounced. According to him, the government “is in time to improve the plan” because, if it happens, the PP will be open to support its processing in the Congress. But, after that, Tellado insisted that there is currently “a decree of Pedro Sánchez” who is “leaving by helicopter from a press conference” in which “he is asking the citizens to make an effort”.

“Sanchez only rules by decree and is completely incapable of reaching the most substantial agreements,” he denounced. “He cannot agree on measures, even within his own government,” he argued. Tellado spoke of “catastrophic energy management” by the executive branch. “The government has not offered anything, has not worked on anything, does not commit to anything. They are only the imposition of citizens, SMEs and the world of culture. It cannot continue like this,” he said.

“Don’t make us prosecute”

Tellado also asserted that “Sanchez runs ahead, Spain destroys employment” and “uncertain inflation”. “Spain does not have a moment to lose. We need a government that will stop ignoring the problems,” he assured. In his opinion, the government “is only accepting a tie.” “With a president who flies reality from his Falcon, at an altitude of 5,000 meters.” He also He asked to “finish the vacation” and “agree on measures” and “not to improvise.

What the PP is asking of Sánchez is that he “start a real dialogue process and agree on measures”. For Tellado, the decree “creates a huge legal vulnerability that puts many administrations in a very difficult situation to understand”. “We suggest to the president of the government that he should get it right and get it right, he should cancel this royal decree law, sit down with the communities and agree, because Spain needs to take this type of measure, but it can’t. improvised. What we are asking the government is reasonable. This does not make us pursue the situation,” he concluded.
