New Forest: full list of candidates for local elections

The number of bureau seats has been reduced from 60 to 48 following boundary changes approved in 2021.

A total of 60 candidates were nominated in 26 constituencies.

This is the first local elections since 2019 to be held in the forest. Unlike many other local governments, the council only holds elections every four years and each seat is contested.

Votes will be counted on Friday, May 5th at the Applemore Health and Recreation Center. The results are expected to be announced in the afternoon.

The current political makeup is 43 Conservatives, 13 Liberal Democrats and four Independents.
