John Iñárritu (Leioa, Bizkaia, 1979) has been immersed for weeks in the latest negotiations with other groups to try to resolve the reform of the Citizen Security Law, a norm approved by Mariano Rajoy’s government in 2015. Its overwhelming majority, that both the opposition and the social movements that stood in the streets against the cuts at the time, called Gaff’s law. Moncloa’s allies in the Congress of Deputies agreed for more than a year and forty meetings, more than 90% of the articles, but they could not overcome the blockade because of the most difficult points: the use of rubber balls, disrespect. For security forces, sanctions for insubordination or hot returns at the border.
