The way we watch movies is related to how we store them. Currently, the state of technology allows us to watch movies of all eras in very good conditions, not only in movie libraries and repertory cinemas, but also on home devices. Many professionals from institutions and companies are aware of this and take advantage of these opportunities to digitize artworks and restore them as close to their original appearance as possible.

But there are still sectors of the audiovisual industry that are inclined to intrusively alter the image and sound of films, through stronger sound mixes or more striking color gradations, provided that this increases their economic potential.
