A Madrid provincial court has sentenced an employee of a private residence in the capital’s Pacifico district to two years and two months in prison for sexually abusing a 97-year-old woman by taping and repeatedly touching her breasts.
This is according to the sentence, which was accessed by Europa Press, in which magistrates banned Jose Luis RM from coming within 500 meters of the victim and banned him from practicing as a nursing assistant for three years.
Later, the woman denounced the accused touching her breast and insulting her.
According to reports, the events took place on August 19, 2019, a day after the employee started work at this private residence located in the Pacifico neighborhood of the capital.
During the trial, the man stated that on the day of the events, he was studying and was under supervision. “At the end of the day, the factory manager met me and said; Now you’re going to make this room your own,” he said.
“When I arrived, there was another colleague and he left. The lady was half dressed. He told me that he had wounds under his chest. I pulled down her nightgown which was very tight and proceeded to sleep,” she said.
The accused denied touching the nipple. “I am happily married. There could have been some friction in pulling down her nightgowns,” she said at the time.
Faced with this, the woman recalled in her statement that the man put on his nightgown incorrectly and left his chest exposed. “For a long time it was about both my breasts. He took my nipple and I saw stars. It hurts a lot,” he said.
After the lady’s complaint, the management of the center, taking into account the seriousness of the incident, implemented security protocols and opened a case against the accused. He was immediately transferred to another floor and someone was put in charge “next to him”. He was later fired.
