Temperatures will rise over the weekend, but there will be another storm on Sunday

According to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), the temperature will rise gradually in the coming days. In any case, the temperature is somewhat lower for the time of year, although not as dramatically as in previous days. A storm is expected from the Atlantic on Sunday, which may leave rain early next week.

Overnight frosts will continue throughout much of the interior of the peninsula through the end of the week. Although generally they will be less intense, in mountainous areas, especially in parts of the Pyrenees, it will still be possible to fall below 10 degrees below zero.

According to Aemet spokesman Ruben del Campo, it will not be frost until Monday only in mountainous areas.

In the central hours of the day, the thermometers will gradually recover, although in many areas of the northern half the maximum temperature will not yet reach 10°C, and in most parts of the country the temperature will still be somewhat lower for the season.

The latter part of the week will be mostly dry, with some rain and some snow, so precipitation will be mainly confined to eastern Cantabria and the Balearic Islands.

Another storm is coming Sunday

However, a storm will arrive from the Atlantic on Sunday, which could leave rain in the southwest of the peninsula and open the door to new fronts in the coming days.

Thus, next week is expected to rain, especially in the west and north of the country.

As for this Thursday, the central and northern hemisphere will be marked by warmer temperatures, with highs generally 3 to 5 degrees above Wednesday’s highs.
