A man in his 30s broke his arm after being hit by a wooden pole during a serious burglary.
Police were told that two masked men broke into a house in the Cluny Gardens area of Clady at around 8pm on Friday 2 December.
The male resident, a man in his 30s, was beaten several times with wooden poles. He suffered a broken arm and severe cuts and bruises in the incident, police said.
Police are asking anyone with further information to come forward.
A PSNI spokesman said: “It was reported that two masked men entered the house just before 8pm on Friday evening and attacked a male resident with wooden poles.
The resident, a man in his 30s, was punched several times and suffered a broken arm and severe cuts and bruises.
“An investigation is ongoing and detectives would ask anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area or has information that could assist the investigation to call them on Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101 and reference 1686 02/12/22 to specify. or to make a report online using the non-emergency report form at http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
