A man in his 30s broke his arm after being hit by a wooden pole during a serious burglary.

Police were told that two masked men broke into a house in the Cluny Gardens area of ​​Clady at around 8pm on Friday 2 December.

The male resident, a man in his 30s, was beaten several times with wooden poles. He suffered a broken arm and severe cuts and bruises in the incident, police said.

Police are asking anyone with further information to come forward.
