A vehicle crashed into a police car last night after allegedly failing to stop for officers in a Northern Ireland city centre, the PSNI said.
Police say they tried to stop the car in Downpatrick town center last night (Sunday November 20) but instead went too fast and collided with a police car.
Officers from PSNI stations Newry, Morne and Down said they located and overtook the vehicle about 10 minutes later. A man was later arrested on charges of drunken driving.
The police say the suspect must appear in court. Police officers Newry, Morne and Down released details of the incident on social media in the early hours of the morning.
