A week later, the police again visited the scene of a “brutal murder”.
Mark Lovell was murdered in Ardcarn Park, Newry, on Thursday evening, December 1.
The 58-year-old was shot several times in his car at close range.
Tonight, Thursday 8 December, police officers visited the crime scene again. There is a reward of up to £20,000 for information about the “brutal execution”.
Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell said: “Tonight (Thursday 8 December) – a week after this brutal murder – our officers visited the crime scene again.
“We want to remember and encourage anyone with information, no matter how insignificant, to speak up
“This was a planned and shocking attack that brutally took place at a time – just after 6pm – when people were out.
“Our appeal is supported by a grant of up to £20,000 from Crimestoppers and I would like to stress that information can be provided anonymously. Crimestoppers will never ask for or store your personal information.
