The Late Late Show will usher in a new tradition this holiday season as Patrick Kielty will host the talk show’s first ever New Year’s special.

Patrick Kielty, who has hosted the long-running RTE show since September, will host The Late Late Show on RTE One on New Year’s Eve.

The show will be broadcast from 10.15pm and at 11.45pm the Co Down man will hand over the reins to Anna Geary, who will host the New Year’s Eve Countdown Concert from Dublin Castle.

The description of this year’s Late Late special reads: “It’s the final countdown to 2023, but before we say goodbye to the past year and hello to 2024, it’s time for Patrick Kielty to organize his first final show.” the year of extravagance.

“As always, the stars will be in full force as he addresses a revolving door of special guests. But that’s not all, because we can look forward to many surprises, familiar faces and a final farewell to the past year.”

The Patrick’s Late Late Show special will compete with Graham Norton’s New Year’s Eve programme, which has become a popular and popular part of the BBC’s festive schedule over the years.

The cast of Late Late has not yet been announced, but the BBC has already revealed that Graham will join actors Emma Stone and Mark Ruffalo, presenter Claudia Winkleman, chef Nadiya Hussain and comedian Rob Brydon in an appearance on Victory Dance will be discussed by the Ezra. collectively.

From 11.30pm Graham will then be taken to the Roundhouse in London for Rick Astley Rock’s New Year’s Eve.
