Starring James Stewart in perhaps his best role, the 1946 film plays a guardian angel who shows compassionate but desperately frustrated businessman George Bailey (Stewart) an alternative version of history. By seeing what life would have been like if he had never existed, George realizes how he has actually affected the lives of those around him.

Decide for yourself and stream the action film and its sequels this holiday season. In the 1988 action film, no-nonsense New York City cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) faces overwhelming odds when his visit to California is interrupted by a terrorist invasion of his estranged wife’s office building.

In the popular 1993 film, Pumpkin King Jack Skellington gets bored with the same terrifying routine and accidentally finds himself in the bizarre, merry land of Christmas Town. He falls in love with the festive world and sets out on a joyous mission to spread the joy of Christmas, endangering Santa and creating a nightmare for good boys and girls everywhere.

When two clumsy burglars, the “Wet Bandits,” want to rob Kevin’s suburban home, the teenager tries to fend them off with a series of homemade booby traps.

On Christmas Eve, grumpy old Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine) is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Together with the kind and humble Bob Cratchit (Kermit the Frog) and his family, the ghosts open Scrooge’s eyes – and his heart – to the true meaning of Christmas.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is available on Netflix, Sky and Now and can be enjoyed with many combining Sky Stream, Sky TV and Netflix – plus six months of free Apple TV+ – in one entertainment package. It is also available to rent on Prime Video and Apple TV+ for £3.49.
