He caused a stir this year with his role in the blockbuster 50 Shades Of Grey, but Jamie Dornan has now revealed the role he really wanted to play.
The Co Down actor sat down with the BAFTAs on their 60 Second Challenge and answered weird and wacky questions from fans.
When asked what role he would like to play, the 33-year-old said it would have been Emile Hirsch’s character Christopher McCandless in Into The Wild.
Speaking on video, The Fall star said: “I really wanted to get that part, but I had absolutely no chance of getting it.”
He also said Paul Spector, his role in the BBC series The Fall, was his most challenging character.
“He is just as horrible and nothing happens in my life like his,” he added.
During the short video, the Hollywood hunk also revealed a little-known fact about himself: he has asthma.
Jamie added some words of wisdom for aspiring actors by saying he was the worst at auditions and suggests getting sick.
“I hope they like some of your earlier work and still give you the job,” he added.
When learning rules, his method is somewhat awkward and involves talking to himself.
To make his lines clearer, Jamie records both sides of the dialogue and plays it back on his iPhone as he walks around talking to himself – weird, but it works for him.
