Jamie Dornan is back in action.

First, the Hollywood man is portrayed as the Irish soldier Patrick Quinlan.

Jamie is taking a break from getting us excited for roles as Christian Gray in the 50 Shades series for “Jadotville” – a true story.

The film is based on the true story of a 1961 siege of a small UN battalion by 3,000 Congolese soldiers.

Dornan plays Commander Patrick Quinlan.

Written by Kevin Brodbin, “Jadotville” is directed by Richie Smyth – a music video director with big clients like U2 and Bon Jovi.

  • Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said: “The story of how Pat Quinlan led his troops against an overwhelming force without losing a single man is one of the greatest stories of the 20s and a dedicated team to bring it to life.”

“This film will be a great addition to our global original film initiative.

“As filmmakers, we are always looking for new ways to bring a film to the widest possible audience. Netflix has already reinvented the TV market and is now moving into the film world.”

The movie will premiere at Galway Film Fleadh next month before being shown on Netflix.
