The government is open to the “improvement” of other political groups in the energy saving decree.

The government revealed at the last moment that the decree on extraordinary and urgent measures for energy saving could be considered as a bill in the congress, which leads to changes by the rest of the political groups. This was said this morning by two ministers in television interviews: Teresa Ribera, head of the decree and environmental transition portfolio, apparently, as well as Raquel Sánchez, the minister of transport.

Ribera expressed full confidence that the package of measures will be implemented in parliament this Thursday, despite the refusal of the main opposition group, the PP. “Yes, absolutely,” the third vice president answered when asked about it on Telecinco’s Ana Rosa program. “We believe this is capital.” [los decretos] continue. We think they unanimously deserve the support of the Chamber,” he said.

For this, the third vice-president added that the executive authority is ready to consider the emergency decree in the form of a bill. “We are open to improvements or additional measures. Our goal is not to introduce many more mandatory measures, but recommendations, relaxation,” he explained.

“If your honor wants it to be considered as a bill,” Ribera noted, “we will be happy to receive specific proposals and initiatives.”

In the same vein, Transport Minister Raquel Sánchez also shared in another television interview the possibility that the rule would include changes in parliament. “It’s not that this government is open, it’s that this possibility exists in the parliamentary process,” Sánchez said in La Mañana de la 1, on TVE.

“If there is a total of political parties, we don’t have a problem, but it creates a hypothesis that we have to see tomorrow,” he added.
