Spanish companies are putting pressure on MEPs to make the policies approved in the EU fit their interests. Analyzing the 20 companies in our country that spent the most money on lobbying, the disbursement of money exceeds 22 million euros annually. Since the start of registration, they have held 316 meetings with MPs and various officials on whom European laws depend, and they have 20 accreditations to enter the EU building and participate in intergroups of the European Chamber. They include the most recognized Spanish companies such as Repsol, BBVA, Indra or Banco Santander, to business groups such as the energy company Aelec or the oil company AOP, through institutions and associations such as CEOE or the Royal Spanish Hunting Federation.
