“Tonight, the occupiers blew up the Kachovka hydroelectric dam with the aim of further terrorizing Ukrainians and intimidating the West. We are all outraged, but that is not enough – we must support Ukraine even more in his decisive fight for his freedom and ours. In response to the terrorists, the Lithuanian Brewers’ Guild today transferred 10,000 euros to Blue Yellow and urges all colleagues to support the sacred struggle of Ukrainians as much as possible”, urged S. Galadauskas on his Facebook account.
ELTA recalls that on Tuesday night, the Russian occupiers blew up the dam of the Kachovka hydroelectric power station, located on the Dnieper above Kherson. This fact was confirmed by representatives of the Southern Operational Military Command of Ukraine, UNIAN reported.
The military command of the Kherson region said that after the explosion of the Kachovka hydroelectric dam by the Russians, the water would reach a critical level within five hours.
After this incident, President Volodymyr Zelensky decided to urgently hold a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSGT).
