According to the contract, “Ukroboronprom” and “Rheinmetall” will start cooperation in the field of maintenance and repair of armored vehicles transferred to Ukraine.
“In the future, the partners intend to jointly manufacture Rheinmetall products in Ukraine, as well as jointly develop promising samples of armaments and military equipment in a newly created joint venture with the participation of Ukrainian and German specialists “, says the report.
The joint venture should start working in mid-July 2023, says Ukroboronprom.
Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger previously announced that German representatives would own 51%. shares of the company, they will manage them.
The German company intends to sign contracts for the creation of two more joint ventures – factories of ammunition and air defense equipment.
Rheinmetall is Germany’s largest arms manufacturer.
The company, according to its own data, is one of the three largest manufacturers of military equipment and ammunition in the Western world. Now the market value of Rheinmetall exceeds 10 billion. euros.
