“Mantinga” has invested 14.5 million in the development of production capacity. EUR: will create up to 70 new jobs

According to the report, the new production line expanding the layered product workshop has higher productivity than the layered product lines used so far – the amount of layered products produced there can reach 1500 kg per hour.

“We are constantly investing in production, aiming both for greater efficiency and to expand the range of high-quality products offered to consumers. It is planned to produce more than 50 different puff pastry products in the new puff pastry line , so we aim not only to transfer part of the products to the new production line, but also to use it to create new products for which we have not had the technical capabilities so far”, comments the director. production companies of the Mantinga group, Vytenis Kupstas.

According to him, it is expected that the new production line will be able to produce chocolate puff cakes (“Pain au chocolat”), which require extremely precise chocolate preparation equipment that ensures the required properties of the filling and the highest quality of the products. In addition, the new line will allow to expand the assortment of savory products – for them, special filling dispensers and decorating equipment will be provided, which can evenly sprinkle baked goods with various seeds or cheeses.

The new diaper product range consists of equipment from various suppliers from Holland, Germany, Italy and the UK.

A new range of laminated products is available in 2015. in the layered products workshop installed in the new factory in Mantinga, using the existing production premises – in this way, reduced energy consumption for refrigeration is ensured , although the new line uses much less electricity than the old one.

“Efficiency in energy production is one of our sustainability strategy priorities and directions. Currently, we only use electricity from renewable sources in production, we implement innovative solutions that optimize the use of energy.Although we do not plan to abandon the old production lines, the new line of laminated products allows us to achieve greater energy and production efficiency », declares the director of the factories of Mantinga.

Another important aspect that allows us to achieve another corporate sustainability objective is to reduce the waste of resources used during production, the fact that the new line will allow the maximum use of scraps of dough in production .

Many processes on the new line are automated, reducing the need for manual labor. Nevertheless, the need for employees is unavoidable – the company is currently intensively looking for new employees to work on this line.

Currently, “Mantinga” operates 4 factories: three in Marijampolė and in 2022 “Fresh Food Production” in Latvia acquired in the fall. The production area exceeds 41 thousand. sq m. The range of one of the largest Lithuanian manufacturers consists of 1000 products, the products are exported to more than 40 countries, from Europe to much further, such as the United States, Japan and Chile .
